The Daily Racing Blog apologizes for not posting picks for Fridays card at Saratoga. Just as well, as the the track was a quagmire again. Saturday’s forecast is hot and humid with a 20% chance of rain. It is a nice card on Saturday with Graded Stakes Races being featured in the last four races. The highlight being the 10th and final race- the Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy Stakes. DRB will assume the track will be rated as Fast & Firm on Saturday and make our choices accordingly.

There you have it. A lot of talent at Saratoga on Saturday. Every horse in the finale raced in at least one Triple Crown event this year. So while DRB liked VINO ROSSO as he was on the Triple Crown Trail trying to beat JUSTIFY, we’ll take a pass on him at even money odds. It has been an ugly, sloppy week so far at The Spa, let’s hope Saturday gives us sunshine and no slop. Best of luck.
