Wednesday at Sartoga the rains never came, they ran on the turf, and the only mud to be found was on the face of the Daily Racing Blog.  So no more fearless weather prognostication, we’ll just stick to pony prophecy.  Speaking of which…our picks in the 7th & 8th races yielded a good return- if you boxed the first three choices in the 7th you would have had the exacta, and a Win/Place wager on the longshot #9 got a nice R.O.I.  In the 8th race boxing the first three picks brought down both the exacta and trifecta.

But Thursday is another day, and The Spa can be very humbling.  No telling about the track conditions, so DRB will just opt for the first four choices.  Play them however you may, but be in search of…Value.

FYI, the first race again on Thursday is a Steeple Chase.  The Jumpers are featured on both Wednesday and Thursday.  They are always the first race of the card, so as all the hedges, rails, and water obstacles can be removed from the turf for the remainder of the races on that surface.  Let’s hope for “Fast & Firm” on Thursday, and as always, best of luck from DRB.
