Two All-Turf, multi-race bets have been added to the traditional wagering menu for the 39th Breeders’ Cup which will run November 4th, and 5th, at Keeneland.
The 2022 wagering menu will include a Breeders’ Cup All-Turf $3 Pick 3 on Friday. The three races, in order are; the Juvenile Turf Sprint in the sixth, the Juvenile Fillies Turf in the eighth and the Juvenile Turf in the 10th.
The Breeders’ Cup All-Turf Pick 4 on Saturday is a 50-cent minimum wager and will package four grass races together with full fields of international competitors. The four, in order are; the Turf Sprint in race 4, the Filly & Mare Turf in race 6, the Mile in race 8 and the Turf in race 10.
There is also an added middle Pick 5 on Saturday starting with race 3.
The early Pick 5 will start with race 1 and the late Pick 5 with race 7.
Last year’s late Pick 5 on Saturday generated a $4.7 million pool, and the late Pick 4 offered a $4.4 million pool.
Some Wagering Crib Notes:
If necessary, Friday’s Pick 6, early and late Pick 5 and Super High 5 will carry over to Saturday.
Friday’s All-Turf Pick 3 comprises races 6, 8, and 10.
Any Pick 5 carryover on Friday will roll over to the late Pick 5 on Saturday.
Saturday’s All-Turf Pick 4 comprises races 4, 6, 8, and 10.
Saturday’s Pick 6, Pick 5 and Super High 5 all carry mandatory payouts.
Special Friday/Saturday Daily Doubles: Juvenile Fillies, race 7 on Friday with the Distaff, race 9 Saturday; The Juvenile, race 9 on Friday, with the Classic, race 11 Saturday; and Juvenile Turf, race 10 on Friday, with the Turf, race 10 Saturday.
Bet Minimums:
$3 for All-Turf Pick 3.
$1 for Win, Place, Show, Daily Double, Exacta, Pick 6, Special Daily Doubles.
50 cents for Trifecta, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Super High 5, All-Turf Pick 4.
10 cents for Superfecta.
Post Time for the first race on Friday is 11:55 and 10:30 on Saturday.
