At The Wire

Monday evening the sun will set on the last of forty great days of thoroughbred horse racing at Saratoga.  It was a rainy meet early on, with plenty of races being taken off the turf, which in turn led to fields of 4-5 runners- not exactly a value-lovers paradise.  But in the final two weeks things began to dry out and The Spa lived up to its nickname as “The Graveyard of Favorites”.  The Daily Racing Blog  had a profitable meet, and we hope that you did too.  Monday’s finale has eleven races, which include two Graded Stakes races.  Let’s get to it.
