Sunday and Monday, last chance for cash at Saratoga. As promised by the Daily Racing Blog, Saturday gave us good races and plenty of value. The New York Racing Association is wringing every last drop out of the Old Spa, as Sunday has twelve events on the card. An interesting side note going into the last two days is the battle for the jockey title. Only a week ago it seemed like a forgone conclusion that Irad Ortiz Jr. would not be caught and win the jockey title handily. But Javiar Castellano has gotten much closer the past few days, with multiple wins on all the cards. As it stands now Ortiz has 49 Wins, to Castellano’s 43. Both will have a lot of live mounts and ride very aggressively the next two days. Just something to be aware of. Let’s get on to Sunday.

The feature event for Sunday is The Prioress in race ten. It’s a Grade 2 Stakes Race with a purse of $250,000 dollars. It is for three year-old fillies, and is run at six furlongs on the main track. Only two more days to make Saratoga hay. Good luck, and good value.
