Monday, Monday.

Saratoga is the only track in the country to run six days a week.  Thus, some of the racing cards can sometimes be diluted, and not have as many talented horses as the weekend line-ups.  But the windows are open, and there is cash to be made.  So the Daily Racing Blog, after a Travers Stakes hangover, (literally) is ready to seek value yet again.

7th:  #1 ML 4-1.  #7 ML 10-1.  #5 ML 9-5.  #3 ML 5-2.

DRB hopes your prayers were answered when CATHOLIC BOY won the Travers Stakes.  We know ours were.  The feature event for Monday’s card is in the eighth race, with the running of the Better Talk Now.  It is a race for three year-olds, run on the turf course, with a purse of $100,000.

Only eight days of racing left.  Let’s keep our foot on the gas, and keep seeking the value.  Best of luck on Monday.

    1. Melinda, we appreciate you reading and following the DAILY RACING BLOG. Reader input means a great deal to us at DRB. Space and time constraints precludes us from adding the horses names to all of our selections. It is also easier, even for the casual bettor, to recognize which (if any) horses are scratched from any given race, as the scratches are listed by number. That said, we will make an effort to list horse names with the feature race of the day, if that will simplify matters for you, and anyone else who does not recognize the numerical system. We appreciate any and all feedback. – DRB
