Saturday was not a bad day at The Spa for DRB.  In the Saturday feature races the post time favorites won both the Grade 3 Sanford as well as the Grade 1 Diana Stakes, so there was not a lot of value to be had there.  Early in the card scratches eliminated some of our plays, but some monies were salvaged.  As the adage says; “The race doesn’t always go to the swift, but to those who keep on running.”  We are two days in at Saratoga, with 38 cards to go, it’s no time to panic, or start ‘speeding’ to catch up.  Slow and steady will win this six week race.  So for tomorrow:

1st:  #1 ML 9-2.  #7 ML 7-2.  #6 ML 6-1.

2nd:  #3 ML 12-1.  #5 ML 5-1.  #2 ML 10-1.

3rd:  #6 ML 3-1.  #4 ML 15-1.  #5 ML 8-1.

4th:  #3 ML 8-1.  #7 ML 12-1.  #8 ML 9-2.

5th:  #2 ML 3-1.  #8 ML 7-2.  #4 ML 8-1.

6th:  #4 ML 6-1.  #9 ML 12-1.  #7 ML 8-1.

7th:  #4 ML 5-1.  #5 ML 3-1.  #8 ML 6-1.

8th:  #6 ML 4-1.  #4 ML 8-1.  #1 ML 3-1.

9th:  #3 ML 6-1.  #5 ML 10-1.  #1 ML 12-1.

10th:  #4 ML 6-1.  #2 ML 4-1.  #3 ML ML 5-1.

The feature race on Sunday is the Grade 1, $300,000 Coaches Club Oaks.  It has a short field of  five horses, within which we here at DRB opted to not choose either of the two morning line favorites (shocking) but to seek better…Value.  Same with the other DRB choices for tomorrow- know that if there is a 3-1 choice, another horse in the field is favored at a lesser value.  The weather forecast for Sunday at Saratoga calls for rain and thunder storms.  So track conditions are apt to change, and there could be many race day scratches.  Best of luck to everyone.
