The Breeders’ Cup World Championships are the pinnacle Thoroughbred horse racing.
While other major horse racing events feature a compelling full day of racing, they are almost always built around one signature race.
Conversely, the Breeders’ Cup is a two-day event with 14 Championship races across multiple divisions that crown an array of champions and highlights the best of the best in the sport.
The Breeders’ Cup lures the top horses, trainers, jockeys, and owners from across the world; it draws celebrities from coast to coast; and it combines sport with fashion, food, and fun.
While attending a Breeders’ Cup is a bucket-list item for most racing enthusiasts, not every fan can fit a trip into their budget or schedule.
So, if you’re watching from home and/or throwing a party for friends and family you can at least mix a batch of Breeders’ Cup specialty cocktails for your guests.
Another thing about the Breeders’ Cup– two days of racing equals two official drinks, and unlike the Kentucky Derby’s official drink- the Mint Julep, these emulsions taste great and have a wider appeal.
So here they are, and please take special care to keep track of ratios and measurements of these recipes in order to assemble the perfect Breeders’ Cup concoction.
