The 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships kick off on Friday October 31st at Del Mar Race Course.

The two-day event will again feature 14 Grade 1 races and more than $34 million dollars in purses as the sports elite talent compete on horse racing’s biggest stage.

Del Mar– Where the Turf Meets the Surf on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, will host the Breeders’ Cup for the fourth time.

The World Championships begin Friday with a 10-race card anchored by the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.

First Post on Friday is 11:35 a.m. PT / 2:35 p.m. ET, with five undercard races preceding the first Championships race in the 6th- the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint.

The 12-race Saturday card begins at 10:05 a.m. PT / 1:05 p.m. ET with three undercard races before the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint in race 4, begins the Championships action.

In addition to the usual rolling Daily Doubles and Pick 3’s, the horizontal wagering menu for the two-day World Championships will include a total of ten Pick 4s, six Pick 5s, two Pick 6s, and four special Daily Doubles.  

On Friday, there will be a Breeders’ Cup $3 dollar All-Turf Pick 3 using races: #6- Juvenile Turf Sprint #8- Juvenile Fillies Turf and #10- Juvenile Turf.

The Breeders’ Cup All-Turf Pick 4 on Saturday is a $.50 minimum wager and will package four of the best turf races in the world together with full fields of international competitors.

The four races, in order, are: Race 5: Turf Sprint. Race 8: Turf. Race 10: Turf Mile. Race 12: Filly & Mare Turf.

On Saturday the Breeders’ Cup will offer the All-Dirt Pick 4, which is a $.50 minimum wager.

The four races, in order, are: #4- Filly & Mare Sprint. #6- Sprint. #7- The Distaff and #9- The Classic.

Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup will have three Pick 5’s. The early Pick 5 will be Race 1 through Race 5. The middle Pick 5 will start with Race 5 and end with Race 9, while the late Pick 5 will start with race 8 and end with race 12- the last race of the day.

There will be four Special Daily Doubles spread across the two days and they are:

Friday R9- The Juvenile with Saturday R9-The Classic.

Friday R10- Juvenile Turf with Saturday R8- Turf.

Friday R7- Juvenile Fillies with Saturday R7- The Distaff.

Saturday R7- The Distaff with Saturday R9 The Classic.
