The Keeneland 2025 Fall Race Meet begins Friday, October 3rd, and continues through Saturday, October 25th.

No racing will be held on Mondays or Tuesdays. 

Many of the sport’s most notable Thoroughbreds, human connections, and handicappers take part in this premier racing event in the heart of horse country- Lexington, Kentucky.

The weather forecast for opening weekend at Keeneland is delightful, and the racing promises to be sensational.

Dozens of top-class racehorses are on the pastoral grounds, primed and ready to compete in 22 Stakes races over 17 racing days with a record of $10.85 million dollars in purses.

The meet kicks with a three-day Fall Stars weekend featuring 11 Stakes races, eight of which are part of the Breeders’ Cup Win and You’re In Challenge Series.

The Winners in those events will earn automatic starting positions and free entry into the 42nd Breeders’ Cup World Championships on October 31st and November 1st at Del Mar.

Keeneland’s richest race of the Fall meet is the $1.25 million dollar, Grade 1 Coolmore Turf Mile which takes place on Saturday, October 4th.

The race is for 3-years-olds and up with the winner earning a spot in the gate for the BC Mile.
