A total of 200 Road To The Kentucky Derby qualification points are on the line Saturday in 73rd edition of the Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park.
The Winner will get 100 points, while the runner-up will receive 50, the 3rd-place finisher 25, with 15 going to the 4th-place finisher and 10 for the 5th-place horse.

A field of 11 has turned out for the 2024 Florida Derby, led by 2-year-old Champion FIERCENESS, who will face a talented cast of others including HADES who is undefeated in his three starts at Gulfstream Park.
The $1 million dollar, Grade 1 Florida Derby is the feature race on a 14 race card that features 10 Stakes races, including five Graded Stakes, worth $2,425,000 in purses.
