It’s never too early to talk Saratoga Racing and today the New York Racing Association released the racing schedule for the 2024 season.

This year’s meet is highlighted by the 155th edition of the Grade 1 Travers Stakes (August 24th) and the Grade 1 Whitney (August 3rd).

The 40-day Saratoga meet features 19 Grade 1 races as part of 71 Stakes worth $20.75 million dollars in total purses.

Opening day is Thursday July 11th. Following the four-day opening week, races will be contested five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, except for closing week, when the 2024 summer meet will conclude on Monday, September 2nd.

The opening weekend will feature four Graded Stakes. On Saturday the 13th there’s the $175,000, Grade 3 Sanford, the G3 $175,000 Kelso and the feature race of the day- the $500,000, Grade 1 Diana. Sunday offers up the $175,000 Quick Call.

Saratoga Live, the television show produced by NYRA in partnership with FOX Sports, will return for its ninth season to provide daily coverage of the summer meet to a nationwide audience on the networks of FOX Sports.
