So How’d We Do?

In Fridays post the Daily Racing Blog made it’s selections for the 4 Graded Stakes races at Aqueduct Park on Saturday December 1st.  So in the spirit of transparency let’s see how we made out.

First up was the fourth race in which DRB  chose AFLEET DESTINYFILLY JOELMOLTO BELLA, and ENLIVEN.

We were oh so close on this one, as a horse called POSITIVE SPIRIT got up at the wire to beat AFLEET DESTINY by a nose.  FILLY JOEL finished third while MOLTO BELLA got fourth.  AFLEET still gave us the Value we  look for as she paid $18 to Place and $7.10 to Show.

In the sixth race two of our four choices, SOWER, and TIGALALU were scratched and did not start.

So our remaining two choices in order were; COME DANCING, and MARLEY’S FREED.  Those horses finished first and second with MARLEY getting the victory.  A $2 dollar Exacta paid $22.00

The DRB picks for the 8th race were TAXBOURBON WARJUNGLE WARRIOR, and NETWORK EFFECT.

The post time favorite, MAXIMUS MISCHIEF, won this contest easily.  NETWORK EFFECT got second, while TAX ran third.

The ninth was the feature race, with the running of the Cigar Mile.  The DRB selections for this one were; TRUE TIMBER, SUMMER RIDGE, PATTERNRECOGNITION, and COPPER TOWN.

The actual order of finish was PATTERNRECOGNITION 1st, TRUE TIMBER 2nd, and SUMMER RIDGE 3rd.  The $2 Exacta paid $216 dollars, while the one dollar Trifecta brought back $550.

Boxing DRB‘s first three choices in an Exacta and Trifecta gave us the Value we constantly preach about.  We hope you were part of the congregation for this one.
